Strengths:
      • Research publications, presentation of quality research articles in Seminars/Conferences
Challenges:
      • Lack of support from industry ; Mushrooming of new Engineering colleges  
      • The policies of the  regulatory agencies in restructuring the courses
      • Lack of financial resources to organize various academic programmes

Opportunities:
    • As our region has become the new capital of residual Andhra Pradesh, it is an opportunity to start new programmes and courses to train and impart skill-oriented education   for the youth of this region in tune with the vision of State Administration.

Future plans of the department:
     • To create interest in Physics through innovations
     • To start new courses in Medical Physics, Space Physics and Environmental Physics
     • To organise an International Seminar on Nano Physics
